Biography
Upinder Jindal is an immigration attorney licensed in California, bringing a strong foundation in civil rights advocacy and a deeply personal understanding of the immigrant experience to his legal practice. A first-generation immigrant and lawyer, Upinder's professional journey reflects a commitment to justice shaped by both his legal training in India and his lived experience navigating the U.S. immigration system.
Upinder earned his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Punjab Technical University, followed by his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Department of Laws at Punjab University. From 2017 to 2021, he practiced law in India, focusing on civil rights matters and representing individuals facing systemic injustice and government overreach. This early work grounded his legal approach in constitutional principles, due process, and the protection of fundamental rights.
After relocating to the United States in December 2021, Upinder transitioned into U.S. immigration law, beginning his career in July 2023 as a paralegal. He later advanced to a law clerk role and, in May 2025, became a licensed attorney. His progression through multiple roles within the immigration legal field has given him a comprehensive, hands-on understanding of case preparation, client advocacy, and courtroom practice.
Today, Upinder is dedicated to representing immigrants and families seeking safety, stability, and lawful status in the United States. His work is informed by his background as both an international civil rights advocate and a first-generation immigrant, allowing him to approach each case with empathy, cultural awareness, and rigorous legal analysis.
