Job Title: Associate Attorney Position
Location: On-site (San Francisco, CA) / Remote Option Available
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking compassionate, proactive individuals committed to immigrants' rights. Ideal candidates are organized, flexible, and able to manage competing deadlines. A willingness to learn and contribute to something meaningful is essential. While attendance at some USCIS interviews may be required, this position primarily focuses on Immigration Court.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and admitted to practice law in any state Bar. We need individuals who can attend court immediately.
Preferred but not required:
The ability to communicate in Hindi, Punjabi, Portuguese, or Spanish.
This is an attorney position and not a post-bar Law clerk. Applicants must be admitted to the bar of any U.S. state.
Most of our staff works a hybrid schedule. Our physical office is located at 100 Bush Street in San Francisco.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk/Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, conducting research, and supporting clients in all aspects of their cases. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in immigration and appellate law while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
Assist attorneys in case preparation, including gathering evidence and drafting affidavits.
Review and analyze immigration laws, regulations, and court decisions.
Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, appeals, and other proceedings.
Maintain organized case files and ensure timely case management.
Qualifications:
For the Law Clerk position, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent international law degree (LL.M.) is required. For a Legal Assistant position, a bachelor's degree is a must.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Interest or experience in immigration or human rights law preferred.
