Biography
The recipient of the prestigious American Inns of Court Professionalism Award for the Ninth Circuit, which honors a senior "lawyer or judge whose life and practice display sterling character and unquestioned integrity, coupled with ongoing dedication to the highest standards of the legal profession and the rule of law," Robert Jobe has litigated more than 60 precedent-setting cases. Commended by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit for his "excellent advocacy in briefing and during oral argument," Mr. Jobe has also been awarded the American Immigration Lawyers Association's Jack Wasserman Award for Excellence in Immigration Litigation, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center's Phillip Burton Award for Outstanding Immigration Lawyering, and the National Coalition to Protect Political Freedom's Constitutional Rights Award For Outstanding Legal Service Against the Use of Secret Evidence (Washington, D.C. 2001).
For 19 straight years (2005 to 2024), San Francisco Magazine has named Mr. Jobe as one of Northern California's Super Lawyers, and in recognition of his work for LGBT immigrants, Mr. Jobe was named an Honorary Grand Marshall of the 2003 San Francisco Gay Pride Parade.
