Lina Baroudi a Syrian immigrant, joined the Law Office of Robert B. Jobe in May 2002, just after graduating from San Francisco State University with a bachelor of arts in sociology. In her capacity as the supervising paralegal of the firm, Lina enjoys working on criminal and federal litigation cases and has assisted Mr. Jobe in the preparation of many cases before the Courts of Appeals and in the district courts of California, including: Brezilien v. Holder, 569 F.3d 403 (2009), Al Mutarreb v. Holder, 561 F.3d 1023 (2009), Kaur v. Holder, 561 F.3d 957 (2009), Ahmed v. Mukasey, 548 F.3d 768 (2008), Miguel-Miguel v. Gonzales, 500 F.3d 941 (9th Cir. 2007), Cardoso-Tlaseca v. Gonzales, 460 F.3d 1102 (9th Cir. 2007), Maharaj v. Gonzales, 450 F.3d 961 (9th Cir. 2006) (en banc). Bhasin v. Gonzales 423 F.3d 977 (9th Cir. 2005), Li v. Ashcroft, 356 F.3d 1153 (9th Cir. 2004) (en banc) and Cheema v. Ashcroft, 383 F.3d 848 (9th Cir. 2004). Attending as a part-time evening student, Lina recently earned her juris doctrate (J.D.) from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she was awarded the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Immigration Law (Fall 2008) and Criminal Procedure II (Summer 2008).
