Christine Lin became interested in international human rights and refugee issues after volunteering at a refugee camp in Thailand. As an undergraduate at Dartmouth College, she majored in Asian Studies and studied abroad in Beijing, China and Kanazawa, Japan. Christine received a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she studied human rights and economic and political development. While in graduate school, she interned with the Evaluation and Policy Analysis Unit of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva, Switzerland. She then studied Spanish in Valencia, Spain.
As a law student at American University’s Washington College of Law, Christine was a member of the Student Advisory Board for the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and a student attorney at the International Human Rights Law Clinic. She was a legal intern at the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights (now Human Rights First). After graduating from law school, Christine participated in the Attorney General’s Honors Program, and worked as a Judicial Law Clerk/Attorney Advisor with the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review, at the Los Angeles Immigration Court.
Christine is a member of the State Bar of California. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and outdoor activities.
